According to reports, the Chicago Bears have applied the transition tag to corner back Kyle Fuller. This could hinder the family reunion that so many fans hoped for in Kansas City for Kyle and newly acquired Chiefs CB Kendall Fuller.
Transition tags give a team an extended time to agree to a long-term contract. Now, any NFL team can agree to a deal with Fuller during that period of time, but the Bears retain the right to match any offer. This means that the Chiefs could agree to sign Fuller to a deal, but there is no guarantee that he would come to KC, because the Bears would likely match the deal.
Fuller has dealt with some health issues, but when healthy, he has been a star.
