Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter veteran running back, Jamaal Charles is scheduled to meet with the New Orleans Saints on this coming Wednesday. With the suspension of Mark Ingram for the first 4 games of the regular season, the downhill running back alongside breakout star Alvin Kamara would create a good backfield.
Jamaal has been throughout his career been known for his speed and ability to avoid tacklers, been since having 2 different significant knee injuries cannot be expected to carry a large workload. Last year Jamaal was mostly healthy all season but didn’t have much of an impact on the field. Appearing in 14 games with the Broncos last season he rushed for 296 yards on 69 carries for 1 touchdown. Although Denver ran a backfield by a committee lead by C.J Anderson, Devontae Booker, and Jamaal Charles. Only time will tell if the 10-year veteran still has any more good seasons in him or not.
